The Objective
🎯 Position Snapchat as an employer of choice for senior tech talent. Through an add-on landing page for Snapchat’s profile, we would need to distill the key selling points of working on their tech and product teams for a wide audience. Could this content be as memorable as the dancing hot dog filter?
The Process
✔️ Researched Snapchat’s existing employer-facing marketing, plus gathered insights about similar players in the industry.
✔️ Pitched Snapchat stakeholders on several creative directions, chiefly employee features that focused on cybersecurity, emerging technology, and engineering infrastructure.
✔️ Interviewed Snapchat employees, and worked with a writer to distill responses into short, descriptive vignettes.
✔️ Edited copy and worked with Snapchat stakeholders to address feedback.
The Outcome
🏆 *Cue the dancing hot dog filter.* The “microstory” approach gives potential job candidates a more authentic glimpse into the lives of Snapchat employees and the work their product and technology team does.
